New Beginings

What is salvation?
Salvation is the cornerstone of the Christian faith, a divine gift that offers forgiveness, transformation, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. Every person, regardless of background or past, is invited into a personal relationship with God. The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23), but through Christ’s death and resurrection, we are offered redemption and reconciliation (Romans 6:23, John 3:16).
Salvation is not earned by good deeds but received by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8–9). It marks the beginning of a new life, one filled with purpose, peace, and the promise of eternity with God.

How can I be saved?
According to Romans 10:9, its as easy as "ABC":
-
Admit you are a sinner in need of grace
-
Believe that Jesus died and rose again for your salvation
-
Commit your life to following Him
Heavenly Father, I admit that I have sinned and need Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died for my sins and rose again to give me new life. Today, I turn from my old ways and commit my life to You. Come into my heart, be my Savior, and guide me from this day forward. Thank You for loving me, forgiving me, and making me new. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Baptism
What is Baptism?
Importance Baptism is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes dying to sin and rising to new life in Him (Romans 6:4). It’s an act of obedience, identification with Christ, and entrance into the body of believers.
Requirements
-
Faith in Jesus: A personal belief in His death and resurrection for salvation
-
Repentance: A sincere turning away from sin
-
Willingness to follow Christ: A heart ready to live according to His Word
Baptism doesn’t save you, faith in Christ does (Ephesians 2:8–9), but it powerfully affirms your commitment and transformation.

Having a Church Family
Having a church home and spiritual covering is essential for growth, accountability, and protection in your walk with Christ. God designed the church as a body, where each member is connected and strengthened through fellowship and leadership (1 Corinthians 12:12–27). A pastor serves as a spiritual shepherd—watching over your soul, offering guidance, correction, and prayerful support (Hebrews 13:17; 1 Peter 5:1–4). Their role is not just to preach, but to equip and protect the flock, helping believers stay rooted in truth and aligned with God’s purpose (Ephesians 4:11–12). Submitting to godly leadership brings covering, wisdom, and spiritual safety, especially in times of challenge or decision (Proverbs 11:14; Ecclesiastes 4:9–12).
